Growing up, Bryan Alfred experienced the best of both worlds. His upbringing was split between the cold, urban environment of Hartford, CT, and the warm, vibrant island life of Yabucoa, Puerto Rico. “Growing up was a blessing,” Bryan recalls. “I spent most of my time in CT, where it was cold even in the summer, and we ain’t talking climate. But my time on the island gave me a love for my heritage and connected me with the music side of myself. Best of both worlds is how I always explained it. Growing up on an island and in a city are two entirely different things.”
