Ski Team shares captivating “Me”

Ski Team shared her single “Me” with a music video early last month. The song is off of her upcoming EP and is the first collaboration the artist has had with renowned producer Daniel Knowles.

“Me” takes listeners on a mesmerizing journey through ethereal landscapes and fragmented realities, blending dream pop, experimental synth, and avant-garde pop in a way only Ski Team can. Her voice is both haunting and captivating, soaring above glistening synths and layers of ambient sound. There’s an immediacy in her vocal delivery here, but also a distance—like she’s singing from somewhere both intimate and far away. Another highlight is the saxophone solos throughout, adding a creative layer to the track. The song is “about the struggle of adjusting someone’s role in your life, or your own role to them, and giving up control in that process. I guess it’s about realizing if you have to assign roles, maybe it’s not as special as you think. And like challenging this idea of roles being the whole of someone’s identity. It’s scary to not know who’s on your roster, or who you are without a particular person/job/trait/whatever, and just go forth into life’s abyss as a human, but it’s often better for everyone involved to get on with it. Pick yourself up, focus on yourself, and let everything and everyone else kind of settle around you,” shares the artist.

The music video is a captivating watch from beginning to end. The visuals begin with the artist in an office type setting, feeling used and burned out. It soon cuts to shots of the artists feeling free, singing and enjoying the moment outside near the water. “Me” is a must listen to song!
