Cory Cullinan has enlisted his daughter Sidney Cullinan to direct and create the music video for his new experimental ambient noise single “Footprint”. The duo have transformed the listening and watching experience, bringing the audience close to nature and human moments while they are taken on an immersive sonic and visual journey.
“Footprint” is the idea of composer, teacher, musician and songwriter Cory Cullinan. He was inspired as a student in the 80s to create this unique masterpiece while at the Stanford University 220 Course taught by professor John Chowning. Not finding the recourses or time to complete his idea, the artist tabled the project for some time. Circle back to recently and Cory ran into his mentor once again. This inspired him to finish his prolific work “Footprint”, giving listeners an unparalleled creative experience.
Sidney Cullinan brings a fascinating visual experience to the piece. With a juxtaposition of shots from ocean waves to trees, falling leaves, public transportation, city nights and more, the visuals are equally captivating. “Footprint” has a remarkable vision of staying in the present moment and feeling nature all around us. Check out this healing new piece now and share it with your tribe.
