Tamara Texeira “TexyBlu”: Redefining Beauty, Fearlessness, and Fashion at Every Age

From Boston, Massachusetts, Tamara Texeira, professionally known as TexyBlu, is stepping into the modeling world with elegance, ambition, and unwavering determination. Her journey isn’t the typical industry story — and that’s exactly what makes it powerful.

TexyBlu officially began modeling in January 2025, but the dream started long before that. As a young girl, she imagined herself as a model. She felt beautiful. She believed she had it. But reality — and her mother’s honest words — humbled her quickly. Being told she was clumsy and struggled with skin issues planted doubt that stayed with her for years. Modeling felt out of reach, and she quietly let the dream go.

Until she didn’t.

Now, pushing 60, TexyBlu has reclaimed that dream — but with something even stronger than youthful confidence: fearlessness.

When asked to describe herself in three words, she chooses: elegant, ambitious, and determined. Those qualities radiate through her presence. She’s no longer chasing validation; she’s chasing growth.

Currently, she leans toward editorial modeling, drawn to its creative freedom and storytelling depth. While she describes her current work as somewhat freestyle, there is intention behind every move. One of her most meaningful shoots so far was “Lady on the Train” in Coney Island. The imagery transported her back in time, evoking memories of her mother. It wasn’t just a photoshoot — it was nostalgia, artistry, and identity woven into a single frame.

What truly makes TexyBlu stand out is her age and perspective. At 58, she’s breaking stereotypes in an industry that often prioritizes youth. She’s short. She’s curvy. And as she proudly says, her curves have curves. She doesn’t fit the traditional mold of past decades — and she doesn’t want to. She embraces challenges that her younger self might have avoided. Aging hasn’t slowed her down; it’s strengthened her resolve.

Preparation is sacred to her. Before a shoot or runway show, she ensures every detail is aligned — outfits, shoes, accessories. She gets her hair styled, nails done, lashes in place. She walks in her heels to ensure comfort and confidence. She talks through the shoot with her sons. She cleanses her skin. And most importantly, she talks to God. Her preparation is both physical and spiritual.

TexyBlu acknowledges that challenges are ongoing. The industry is still new to her, and not every brand or photographer sees her as the fit they’re looking for. She knows she may not fall within a preferred age bracket. But she doesn’t let rejection define her. For her, every “no” brings her closer to a “yes.” Perseverance and self-belief are her anchors.

Looking ahead, she dreams big. She would love to work with brands like Lexus, Macy’s, Calvin Klein, and even grace the pages of Vogue. She also sees herself in commercial campaigns for ASOS, Fashion Nova, Club London, and Akira. She is open to collaborating with both established and emerging designers, eager to bring elegance and maturity to diverse campaigns.

TexyBlu is more than a model — she is proof that timing is personal, dreams don’t expire, and beauty evolves.

Her story isn’t about starting young. It’s about starting boldly.
