At 25 years old, SHROOOMZ is building a sonic universe straight out of Dallas, Texas — one rooted in faith, self-growth, hypnotic soundscapes, and unapologetic individuality. His name might sound playful, even goofy at first, but behind it lies a serious commitment to artistry and evolution.
Music has always been woven into SHROOOMZ’s life. He began playing instruments and singing at just five years old, growing up surrounded by sound and rhythm. But his true journey as a creator began in 2014 during high school, when he taught himself how to produce. That moment changed everything. What started as curiosity quickly became discipline. Production wasn’t just a hobby — it was the foundation of his identity.
Interestingly, his early influences weren’t traditional rap artists. When he first began producing, he gravitated toward the cinematic, atmospheric sounds of Daft Punk, M83, and Solar Fields — artists known for invoking storytelling without words. He was captivated by how music alone could create emotion, space, and narrative. Later, discovering Don Toliver added another layer to his inspiration. The hypnotic, ethereal energy in Toliver’s music resonated deeply with him and helped shape his own melodic and trippy style.
SHROOOMZ always knew he wanted to pursue music — he just didn’t always know what role he wanted to play. Producer? Artist? Visionary? It wasn’t until 2024 that he truly locked in. That year marked the moment he put his “trucks to the rail” — fully committing to grinding toward success with intention and clarity.
The story behind the name SHROOOMZ is as authentic as his music. What began as a joke — “I might SHROOOMZ, but yo ass trippin’” — slowly became a brand. He wanted something clever and reflective of his personality: trippy, slightly goofy, but layered with meaning. SHROOOMZ represents rising above, staying rooted in faith, and embracing individuality. Being “trippy” isn’t about chaos — it’s about perspective. It’s about seeing the world differently.
His writing process mirrors his personality — unconventional and organic. There’s no strict formula. He works at a smoke shop and often finds himself pacing back and forth outside, listening to the same instrumental repeatedly until the flow clicks. Once he locks into the rhythm, the message follows. Early in his career, he would joke that when you’re on a SHROOOMZ beat, you could “cap as much as you want.” But over time, that evolved.
What once felt like playful exaggeration turned into manifestation. Now, his lyrics reflect real goals, real growth, and real faith. Sometimes, he feels like he’s not just writing — but allowing God to speak through him. His music has shifted from performance to purpose.
That transformation is fully realized in his most recent project — an hour-and-a-half-long album released on November 14. The project is his most personal body of work to date. It documents the past six months of his life — his growth as a man, his development as a man of God, and his commitment to becoming better for himself and his family.
This album isn’t just a collection of songs. It’s a diary. It’s reflection. It’s intention. It’s the beginning of a new chapter.
SHROOOMZ plans to succeed in more ways than one, but music will always be at the center. This latest project, he believes, is what sets everything in motion. It gives listeners an inside look at his transformation — and signals that he’s just getting started.
Trippy. Faith-driven. Hypnotic. Intentional.
SHROOOMZ isn’t just making music. He’s manifesting his reality — one track at a time.
