Fauntaye, born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and now based in Newnan, Georgia since 2022, is more than a creator — she is a visionary storyteller using cosplay and performance as a bridge between imagination and real-life inspiration.
For Fauntaye, creativity represents something deeply personal. It symbolizes compassion and love. Every character she brings to life is not just about costume design or aesthetics — it is about emotion, connection, and giving people something to feel.
Her journey into cosplay and content creation began with curiosity. Watching videos of others dressing up and transforming into characters sparked ideas. But it wasn’t just about recreating what she saw — it was about creating experiences. She wanted to make people feel joy. She wanted audiences to enjoy performances, escape their stress for a moment, and see something magical unfold.
As a Deaf creator, representation plays a powerful role in her work. One of her biggest focuses is showing through visuals what is possible. She wants people to see that being Deaf does not limit creativity, performance, or impact. Through her content, she demonstrates that passion and imagination speak louder than barriers.
A major source of inspiration for Fauntaye comes from anime — particularly characters that blend human and creature elements. The fantasy of “half-human, half-creature” designs captured her heart. That love for imaginative storytelling fuels her own artistic process. She draws her own artwork, conceptualizing characters from scratch. Her creativity doesn’t just inspire her — it pulls her forward.
When preparing for content, Fauntaye takes her time. She carefully develops ideas, designs characters, and prepares performances with intention. Every detail matters. She believes in allowing creativity to grow organically rather than rushing the process.

One of her proudest creations so far is her original character, Firestorm — the official mascot of her fantasy name. Firestorm represents originality, strength, and imagination. It is a symbol of her creative identity and the world she is building.
Of course, the journey has not been without challenges. Collaborating in spaces where she is often the only Deaf person in a group of hearing creatives can be difficult. Communication barriers exist. But Fauntaye refuses to let that stop her. Instead, she pushes forward, proving that diversity in creative spaces only makes them stronger.
Her message to the world is clear and powerful:
“Never allow anyone to decide for you and your life. Just do whatever your heart desires.”
Through cosplay and performance, Fauntaye aims to bring happiness to people who may be struggling in their own lives. She understands that art can be healing. That fantasy can be comfort. That joy can be medicine.
Her ultimate goal as a creator and cosplayer is simple yet profound:
To give joy.
To give happiness.
To create moments of light for people walking through dark seasons.
Fauntaye isn’t just dressing up as characters.
She’s building a world where imagination, resilience, and representation stand side by side.
And she’s just getting started.
