Reginae’ Diavian: East Oakland Energy with Runway Fearlessness

From East Oakland, California, Reginae’ Diavian carries a presence that’s impossible to ignore. Rooted in Bay Area culture and unapologetically authentic, she embodies what it means to blend resilience, creativity, and individuality into a powerful modeling career. Her journey isn’t just about walking runways — it’s about redefining what it means to take up space confidently as a Black woman in fashion.

Modeling has always been a passion for Reginae’. It wasn’t something she stumbled into — it was something she knew she wanted. Her first runway show took place in Sacramento with NEW ERA Productions, a pivotal moment that opened doors and introduced her to designers who would later become collaborators. From there, she began working with Aquatico by Jesse Aquatico, further building her portfolio and stepping deeper into the fashion world.

If she had to describe herself in three words, they would be: Hyphy. Intellectual. Astral. That combination perfectly captures her energy — bold and lively, thoughtful and aware, yet spiritually aligned and expansive. Reginae’ doesn’t just model clothes; she models mindset and presence.

Her versatility is one of her strongest assets. She works across runway, editorial, commercial, high fashion, swimwear, and sports modeling. Yet she doesn’t like to be boxed in. Creativity fuels her, and she’s always willing to step outside her comfort zone if it means producing something visually powerful and unique.

One of her most unforgettable modeling moments was walking in the Glamis Sand Dunes. The setting was intense — the terrain challenging — but she pushed through. The moment felt cinematic, almost like an America’s Next Top Model challenge. It tested her physically and mentally, and she delivered. She jokes that Tyra Banks would’ve been proud — but in truth, that moment solidified her strength and determination.

What makes Reginae’ stand out isn’t just her look — it’s her story. She is unapologetically herself in every space she enters. She embraces her Oakland roots, her background, and every chapter of her journey. Beyond modeling, she acts, makes music, and dances. She left home at 17 with no safety net, determined to create a life and career no one in her family had pursued before. Even when things became rocky, she stayed grounded in her purpose. This isn’t a hobby for her — it’s her calling. The lifestyle perks are simply bonuses to the passion.

Preparation is ritual for Reginae’. Before a show or shoot, she turns on her Rihanna-heavy playlist to lock into her confidence. She grabs a latte, centers her energy, and walks in believing in herself fully. Once she’s there, she handles business.

Her journey hasn’t been without obstacles. Being a Black woman in the modeling industry comes with unique challenges. She has faced discrimination around hair and makeup, microaggressions, and attempts to fit her into boxes that don’t represent who she is. She’s even experienced being cut after already being casted. But instead of shrinking, she prepares. She often does her own hair and makeup to ensure she shows up fully ready. She refuses to compromise her identity. Her response to adversity is excellence.

Looking forward, her dream collaborations are bold and intentional. FENTY by Rihanna sits at the top of her vision board. Working with Rihanna would symbolize arrival. She also aspires to collaborate with Victoria’s Secret, Louis Vuitton, Dior, and grace the pages of Vogue. These aren’t just brand names — they’re milestones she’s determined to reach.

Reginae’ Diavian is building more than a modeling résumé — she’s building legacy, independence, and representation.
