In a bold creative shift, rising country artist BMT (Briana Marie Turner) has released a “Countryfication” cover of the BTS track “Swim,” reimagining the song’s atmospheric roots through a rustic, acoustic lens. Released in April 2026, this version strips away the heavy production typically associated with the track, replacing it with a rhythmic folk beat and a soulful acoustic guitar that transforms the piece into a campfire-ready ballad. The reimagining begins with the familiar lyrics, “swam swim, water falling off your skin,” but the delivery is entirely new, grounding the dreamlike quality of the original with a steady, down-to-earth energy that highlights the song’s melodic core in an unexpected way.
The vocal performance is the standout feature of this cover, as BMT delivers the lyrics with a distinct country twang that adds a layer of raw emotion to lines like, “I could spend a lot of time watching you swim.” This auditory shift is perfectly mirrored by the video’s visual aesthetic, which features BMT in a classic black cowboy hat and a red off-the-shoulder top against a vibrant, swirling blue water backdrop. By blending traditional Western style with the song’s aquatic themes, BMT successfully bridges the gap between contemporary pop and country-folk, creating a unique listening experience that proves even the most modern hits can find a home on the range.
