The actress, poet, and spoken-word artist turning real life into raw, cinematic truth

“I don’t perform just to entertain. I perform to make people feel something.”

If you’ve ever been in a room when Brhianna Price performs, you know the shift. The air gets still. A beat drops – something soulful, something Goapele meets Erykah Badu meets Jill Scott – and then her voice cuts through. It’s raw. It’s soulful. It’s cinematic. One minute she has you laughing from your gut, the next she has you holding back tears. That’s the gift.

Proudly from Oakland, California, Brhianna Price is an actress, poet, and spoken-word artist on a mission: to tell every story with truth and purpose.

“Growing up, I realized poetry and acting gave me a way to express things I couldn’t always say in everyday conversations,” Brhianna says. “Spoken word became my therapy, and acting became another way for me to breathe life into stories that matter. I wanted people to not only hear my words but feel them.”

Around Oakland, authenticity isn’t a brand – it’s a code. And Brhianna lives by it.

Soulful, Raw, and Cinematic

Ask Brhianna to describe her style and she doesn’t hesitate: soulful, raw, and cinematic. She doesn’t chase trends. She doesn’t perform for applause. She performs for impact.

When she delivers spoken word, she often layers her poetry over live music, creating an atmosphere that is both intimate and expansive – a late-night lounge, a Sunday morning sermon, and a diary page all at once. Whether on stage or in front of the camera, the intention is the same: leave people thinking about what they just experienced.

“Everything I create comes from a real place,” she says. “Around Oakland, we keep it authentic, and that’s exactly what I bring every time I step on stage or in front of a camera.”

Turning Chapters, Not Endings

That authenticity was forged. Life has tested Brhianna, but she has never let a setback be the end of her story.

“I’ve learned how to always turn a negative into a positive and use every obstacle as fuel to keep growing,” she shares. “Those experiences taught me resilience, compassion, and how important it is to keep showing up, even when life gets heavy.”

One of her biggest challenges has been believing in herself before the industry did – navigating the inevitable chorus of “no’s” that every actor and artist knows too well.

“Oakland teaches you resilience,” she says. “Every audition, every performance, and every opportunity has helped build my confidence and sharpen my craft. I never saw a setback as a failure. I’ve always been a go-getter my entire life. I look at them as preparation for something bigger, because when one door closes, others will open.”

That go-getter spirit is the heart behind everything she creates.

On Screen and On Stage

Right now, Brhianna is in a season of momentum.

She is currently starring in the sitcom Clown in the Prayer Closet with Lisa B Productions, streaming now on the ETTA TV app and available on Roku and Apple TV platforms. She is also working on the film 18 with Tiffany McHenry, Members Only with Hooker Boy Films, the sitcom Same Game with Slim P Films (now on YouTube), several upcoming films with Pharaoh Films, and a new project with Third Acorn.

Alongside her screen work, she continues to write, record, and perform new poetry, intentionally choosing roles that stretch her range and demand truth.

“People can expect authentic performances, meaningful stories, and a lot more creative work that’s coming straight from the heart,” she says.

More Than Me

Beyond the lights, Brhianna is driven by something bigger than credits and curtain calls. She is passionate about personal growth, about encouraging others to keep going, and about representing Oakland with pride.

Her message is simple, and she lives it:

“I want people to know they aren’t alone. Whatever you’re going through, don’t let it define you. Keep pushing. Keep believing. Always turn a negative into a positive. If my words or my performances can help even one person keep going, then I’ve done what I came here to do.”

It’s the philosophy she signs every chapter with.

💫GET IT💫ITZ GOT💫

And if anyone is living proof of that – it’s Brhianna Price.
