Ascension is more than a column—it is a space for evolution, expression, culture and the conversations that live somewhere between who we have been and who we are becoming.
I’m Kymmi: a multidisciplinary creative, author, publicist, model coach and creative director whose life and work have moved through fashion, runway, music, singing, performing arts, choreography, beauty, spirituality, motherhood, entrepreneurship, event coordination, networking, travel and creative production. I’ve spent years moving between different rooms, industries, cities and communities—and I’ve learned that creativity rarely exists in only one lane.
Fashion connects to music. Music connects to movement. Performance connects to identity. Events create community. Travel changes perspective. Networking introduces us to people and ideas we may never have encountered otherwise. And somewhere within all of it, we are constantly discovering new versions of ourselves.
That is where Ascension begins.
Through this column, I’ll explore fashion beyond clothing, music beyond sound, performance beyond the stage, identity beyond labels and spirituality beyond convention. We’ll talk creative culture, personal evolution, relationships, intuition, entrepreneurship, events, nightlife, travel, collaboration, networking and the people building something worth paying attention to.
Some editions will be personal. Some will be observational. Some may take you behind the scenes of an event, runway or creative production. Others will introduce you to artists, musicians, designers, models, entrepreneurs and visionaries whose stories deserve a larger platform.
I want Ascension to feel less like observing culture from the outside and more like being invited into the room.
Above all, this column is about becoming—consciously, creatively and unapologetically.
