There are moments when the hardest thing an artist can do isn’t creating.
It’s letting go.
For AKTHECHRISTIANRAPPER, that became the story behind his new single “Get The Belt,” featuring 1K Pson.
Now out everywhere, the record was created during a season when AKTHECHRISTIANRAPPER found himself questioning his future in music and wondering what God ultimately wanted him to do with his gift.
Music had been a lifelong ambition.
The thought of losing the opportunity to pursue it professionally was frightening.
But as he continued praying and reflecting, another question began to surface: Was he afraid of losing music because he loved the gift — or because the gift had slowly become something he was placing above God?
That question changed the direction of everything.
AKTHECHRISTIANRAPPER realized that he could continue holding onto anxiety, or he could surrender the situation completely.
He chose surrender.
And in that surrender, he found peace.
“Get The Belt” is the sound of that realization.
The song explores God’s discipline, correction, and love through the perspective of someone who learned that being corrected doesn’t mean being abandoned. Sometimes, correction is exactly what keeps us from walking away from the path we’re supposed to be on.
The message is especially relevant for anyone chasing a dream while trying to understand God’s direction.
Because sometimes the answer isn’t “quit.”
Sometimes the answer is “surrender.”
Joining AKTHECHRISTIANRAPPER on the record is 1K Pson, fresh off his Stellar Award nomination for “MOVE IT!” featuring 1K Phew & Forrest Frank. With millions of views and streams across all platforms, 1K Pson has been building undeniable momentum and brings a strong presence to “Get The Belt.”
A faith-driven hip-hop artist, 1K Pson has carved out his own lane by combining authentic street experiences with messages centered around purpose, accountability, perseverance, and personal growth.
His catalog includes collaborations with artists such as 1K Phew and Young Dro, as well as projects connected with legendary producer Zaytoven. Those collaborations, combined with his consistent independent work, have helped him reach listeners around the world.
On “Get The Belt,” he proves once again that his versatility allows him to contribute to records that carry both energy and substance.
Together, AKTHECHRISTIANRAPPER and 1K Pson create a record that feels bigger than a song.
It’s a reminder.
A reminder that God’s correction can be love.
A reminder that surrender can produce peace.
And a reminder that sometimes the thing you’re afraid God will take from you is actually the thing He’s trying to teach you how to use for His purpose.
“Get The Belt” is out now.
