Coming out of Orlando, Florida, his journey into music didn’t begin in a studio or with expensive equipment. It started on a phone. At just 14 years old, while in Tokyo, he opened GarageBand and made his first beat. It wasn’t polished or perfect, but it was enough to spark something real. Enough for him to sit back and realize he had just created something from nothing. That moment stayed with him. It wasn’t just about the beat—it was about possibility. From that point on, he knew this was something he wanted to keep chasing.
Music had always been part of his life, even before he realized it would become his path. Growing up surrounded by Spanish music, bachata, Spanish rock, and later discovering 80s and 90s R&B and disco pop, his ear developed naturally. He didn’t just listen casually—he paid attention. He noticed the details most people overlooked, the chords, the transitions, the small effects layered into songs. With a grandfather who was an artist and an uncle who understood music deeply, creativity was always present in his environment. Watching artists like Michael Jackson, seeing how songs were created in the studio and then brought to life on stage, made everything feel larger than life. It showed him what was possible when passion meets dedication.
Eventually, listening wasn’t enough. He wanted to be part of the process. He wanted to create something that people could feel the same way he felt listening to music growing up.
What makes ilymazzi stand out is his versatility. He isn’t confined to one role. He produces, he raps, he creates visuals through photography and videography. His sound moves depending on emotion, sometimes energetic, sometimes introspective, but always rooted in originality. His creativity doesn’t follow a fixed formula. It evolves constantly, shaped by the ideas constantly running through his mind. That ability to shift and adapt gives his work a sense of life, something that feels current and personal at the same time.
The journey, however, came with real challenges. In the beginning, he didn’t have the tools he needed to fully execute his ideas. Producing on a phone meant working within limits, knowing what he wanted to create but not always being able to reach that level. That changed when he was gifted a MacBook. That moment wasn’t just about receiving equipment—it was about unlocking potential. Suddenly, he had the ability to bring his ideas to life without the same restrictions.
Another obstacle was confidence in his own voice. Stepping from behind the production into being an artist required a different level of vulnerability. At first, he questioned how his voice would sound, whether it would connect, whether he could truly step into that role. Over time, through experimenting with vocal effects, presets, and different styles, he found a sound that felt right. It wasn’t instant, but it was real. That process of trial and error helped him grow into himself as an artist.

Like many creatives, there were also moments where ideas didn’t come easily. Periods where inspiration felt distant. Instead of forcing it, he leaned into listening. Studying other music, breaking down how other producers approached their sound, and then using that understanding to find his own direction. He learned that creativity isn’t always constant, but persistence is.
Those lessons turned into moments that made everything feel worth it. Reaching over 10,000 streams on his song “FIRST CLASS” was one of those moments. Seeing his name appear on Google as an artist while still in high school was another. Performing live, even in smaller venues, gave him a new kind of connection to his work. The nerves, the energy, the reaction from people in the room—it all reinforced that this was more than just something he did alone.
But beyond numbers and recognition, what matters most to him is impact. He wants his music to connect. To make people feel understood. To remind them that they are not alone in their experiences. His message is rooted in possibility. He wants people to look at his journey and see that it’s possible to build something from nothing. That passion, consistency, and belief can take you further than where you start.
He also wants to break the cycle of comparison. In a world where it’s easy to measure yourself against others, he understands how damaging that can be. His goal is to encourage people to focus on their own path, their own growth, and their own voice. Because that’s where real creativity comes from.
What keeps him motivated is vision. The idea of performing on major stages like Rolling Loud, going on tour, and one day holding a Grammy isn’t about status—it’s about the experience. The feeling of knowing he stayed consistent, pushed through challenges, and built something meaningful. Every step he takes now is part of that bigger picture.
Right now, he’s focused on building. New music, new visuals, and new connections are shaping his next phase. He’s putting more intention into not just the sound, but the world around it. Creating experiences that go beyond the music itself, giving people something they can fully step into.
Looking ahead, his goals are clear. To grow as an artist, to reach a wider audience, and to continue evolving creatively. He wants to perform on bigger stages, experiment with new sounds, and push himself into new spaces that challenge him. For him, growth is not optional—it’s necessary.

What he’s building didn’t start with resources, connections, or a perfect plan. It started with curiosity, instinct, and the decision to keep going no matter what stood in the way.
