For Tasha B., movement has always been something deeper. It has been language. It has been therapy. It has been a way to communicate the parts of herself that words could never fully explain.

Born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, Latasha Bryant—known to many as Tasha B.—has spent much of her life creating. Whether through dance, writing, vision-building, or simply showing up authentically in a world that often encourages people to hide their true selves, creativity has remained a constant thread throughout her journey. Yet what makes her story compelling is not simply what she creates. It is the woman she had to become in order to create it.

Ask Tasha what she specializes in, and the answer goes beyond dance techniques or performance styles. While she is known for her heels choreography, feminine energy, power, and stage presence, she believes her greatest specialty is mastering self. It is a philosophy that has been shaped through years of personal growth, self-reflection, and learning how to move through life without abandoning who she is at her core. Everything she creates carries that energy. There is passion in it. There is fire in it. There is softness in it. Most importantly, there is intention behind it.

Long before audiences saw her dance, creativity was already serving as an outlet. As a child, Tasha describes herself as an introvert who often found comfort in writing and creating rather than speaking. While other children might have expressed themselves through conversation, she found freedom in notebooks filled with thoughts and in movement that allowed her imagination to come alive. Music videos became another source of inspiration, with the legendary Michael Jackson leaving a lasting impression on her understanding of performance, artistry, and expression. At home, dancing became a way for her and her siblings to connect, laugh, and create memories together, never realizing that those moments were laying the foundation for something much bigger.

As she grew older, that passion followed her into college, where she joined an organization called Couture. What began as participation eventually evolved into leadership as she stepped into the role of choreographer and dance coordinator. It was there that she began developing not only her creative abilities but also the confidence to lead others. Still, another level of growth awaited her. A move to Atlanta exposed her to the world of professional auditions and the realities of the entertainment industry. Rather than intimidating her, the experience fueled something inside of her. She became hungry for more. The challenge excited her. The growth inspired her. Every new obstacle became proof that she was capable of becoming more than she had imagined.

Her creative identity today reflects that evolution. Tasha describes herself as mysterious, intentional, womanly, sensual, and full of controlled fire. It is a fitting description because there is a quiet strength woven throughout her story. She carries herself with confidence, but not the kind that demands attention. Instead, it is the confidence of someone who has survived enough to know exactly who she is becoming.

That confidence, however, did not arrive without struggle.

When speaking about challenges, Tasha doesn’t pretend the road has been easy. In fact, some of her greatest battles happened away from the spotlight. She speaks openly about periods of depression, trauma, homelessness, broken relationships, family struggles, and the painful process of choosing personal alignment over survival mode. For years, she found herself navigating difficult circumstances while simultaneously trying to honor the gifts she knew she carried. There were moments when she felt stuck. Moments when creating became difficult. Moments when motivation disappeared altogether. Yet through every setback, life continued leading her back to herself.

What stands out most is her refusal to allow those experiences to define her. Instead of becoming trapped by them, she chose movement. Not just physical movement through dance, but movement in every area of her life. Moving away from environments that no longer served her. Moving away from negative energy. Moving toward healing. Moving toward purpose. Moving toward the version of herself that had been waiting beneath years of survival and struggle.

That is why, when asked about her proudest accomplishment, Tasha does not point to awards, bookings, or industry recognition. She points to the present moment.

After everything she has endured, she believes she is standing in the strongest version of herself spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. While some people measure success through external achievements, Tasha measures it through personal transformation. She understands that no title, opportunity, or accomplishment can compete with becoming whole again. For her, that victory is priceless.

The impact she hopes to leave on others reflects that same mindset. Through her work, her words, and her presence, she wants people to remember their own power. She wants people to understand that they are capable of becoming something greater than their circumstances. She wants her life to serve as a reminder that self-worth, self-awareness, and self-love are not luxuries—they are necessities. In her eyes, putting yourself first is not selfish. It is often the beginning of healing.

Today, Tasha finds herself entering what she describes as a brand-new era. One filled with excitement, expansion, and purpose. She is currently rebranding and rebuilding from the ground up, elevating everything she has previously created while bringing new visions to life. These are not random ideas or temporary projects. They are visions she believes were placed within her for a reason, and she is committed to bringing them into reality.

Alongside her personal growth, she is also helping cultivate the next generation of artists. Working with professional dance artist and entrepreneur Lanier McKinney, whose impressive career includes touring with Brandy, Tasha is helping create opportunities for dancers, creatives, and future leaders to grow both artistically and personally. Together, they are teaching, mentoring, and pouring into individuals who may one day become legends in their own right.

Looking ahead, her goals are clear. She wants to create legacy. Not only for herself but for her family. She wants to build something that outlives her, something that leaves the world better than she found it. More than fame, she seeks impact. More than recognition, she seeks purpose. More than success, she seeks significance.

And if her journey has proven anything, it is that she understands exactly what it takes to keep moving forward.

The future may still be unfolding, but one thing is already certain. Tasha B. is no longer waiting for permission to become who she was created to be. She has made the decision. And as she puts it herself, God can work with a decision.
