CertifiedStunna realized music was more than a hobby when listeners began genuinely connecting with his story. What started as a way to express his thoughts and emotions eventually became something he wanted to build into a career and a brand.
His songwriting usually begins with a feeling. A beat may create the atmosphere, but the emotion determines where the song goes. That could mean heartbreak, confidence, pain, ambition or simply talking his talk.
Juice WRLD, Tory Lanez and A Boogie are among his biggest influences, particularly because of their ability to combine melody with genuine emotion. CertifiedStunna has taken inspiration from that approach while building his own sound around experiences with relationships, heartbreak, loneliness and personal growth.
For new listeners, he recommends “Better For You,” a melodic record about accepting that sometimes someone leaving may ultimately be better for both people, even when the pain remains.
One of his biggest challenges has been building independently and getting others to take his vision as seriously as he does. With so many artists competing for attention, he has learned that talent isn’t enough. Consistency matters, especially when the numbers aren’t where you want them to be.
Rather than waiting for opportunities, CertifiedStunna is focused on creating his own.
That same mindset appears in his music. Experiences of feeling alone while surrounded by people have inspired some of his most personal records. Writing about those moments became therapeutic, especially after realizing other listeners were experiencing the same emotions.
CertifiedStunna also doesn’t want to be confined to one sound. He sees today’s hip-hop landscape as an opportunity to move between rap, R&B, melodic music and different genres.
His goal is for versatility to become part of his identity.
Looking ahead, he wants his music to be remembered for how it made people feel. He also wants upcoming artists to see that a vision, consistency and a willingness to create your own lane can turn into something real.
With new music, performances, collaborations and visuals on the way—including records like “Pull Up” featuring Kellybangaz—CertifiedStunna is focused on leveling up the music, visuals, performances and the brand as a whole.
