For Prince Dre MULA, the biggest obstacle in his life wasn’t simply a challenge within music. It was having to completely start over.

From family and employment to music and his resources—including experiencing homelessness—Dre MULA found himself rebuilding his life from the ground up. He ultimately stepped away for two years to focus on himself before returning to music with a renewed purpose in 2026.

That experience has shaped how he views music today.

Prince Dre MULA believes today’s music needs to make people feel something again. In his view, too much music is created for the moment rather than the feeling. His goal is to create music that makes listeners feel the emotion and the drive behind it.

His own experiences also influence how he views vulnerability.

People may assume that because an artist can put their pain into words, they’ve already moved past it. For Dre MULA, that’s not necessarily true. Music can be a way of working through the pain rather than proof that the pain is gone.

That perspective is connected to the legacy he wants to leave.

Years from now, he wants people to remember how he spread motivation throughout the culture and encouraged positive change through music. He wants his story and his music to remind people that starting over doesn’t mean the story is finished.

Now, he’s continuing that new chapter through music while preparing for podcast and radio interviews that will give listeners a chance to get to know the person behind the artist.

For Prince Dre MULA, the goal isn’t to hide what happened.

It’s to use everything he experienced as fuel for what comes next—and hopefully give someone else a reason to keep going.
